I’m excited to finally share the news—I’ll be reuniting with Race Car Consultants (RCC) for the 2025 Vertu MINI CHALLENGE Trophy season. After a strong rookie year in the championship, this move feels like the perfect next step in my racing journey.
This isn’t just about switching teams; it’s about returning to familiar faces and a team that I know can help me fight at the front. I first raced with RCC back in 2023 in the Fiesta Junior Championship, where we worked together to secure three wins in the Mk6 category and a third-place finish in class. Now, with a full season in the MINI CHALLENGE Trophy under my belt, I’m ready to take the next step—this time, with RCC behind me.
Looking Back at 2024
Last season was a huge learning curve, but I took on the challenge head-on. Moving into one of the UK’s most competitive one-make series was always going to be tough, but I quickly found my rhythm and ended up securing 13 class wins from 21 races—more than any other rookie on the grid. That performance helped me clinch the Rookie Cup title and finish seventh overall, making me the only first-year driver to break into the top ten.
The goal for 2025? Race wins. Championship contention. Simple as that.
Why Race Car Consultants?
There were a few options on the table for this season, but RCC just made sense. I’ve worked with David Ellesley and the team before, and we know how to get the best out of each other. RCC is making its debut in the MINI CHALLENGE this year, and I’m excited to be part of that journey with them.
“Having had great success together in the past, it made perfect sense to rejoin the team as I push for the overall title. I know how well we work together, and I’m looking forward to getting started with David and everyone at RCC once again.”
David shares the same confidence, and I know he’s as eager as I am to hit the ground running.
“I am delighted to have Ronnie back with us for 2025,” David said. “We had great success in Fiesta Juniors, and now, with the experience he’s gained in the MINI CHALLENGE, we’re confident we can push for strong results. Ronnie has always had outstanding pace, and now his race craft has developed to match—it’s going to be a great season ahead!”
Looking Ahead
I’m also really pleased to be continuing my partnerships with Astra Security, Southgate Timber, Bright Signs, RM7 Solutions Ltd, and The Motorsport Mentor, as well as welcoming On Track Marketing for 2025.
The season kicks off at Snetterton on 12–13 April, and I can’t wait to get back in the car and push for strong results straight away.
